
Chistian Womens Coalition funds a commerce project for widows in Rafiki Kenya.
Through the lease of land, purchase of nursery trees, and harvesting of fruit, these women are able to support their own households, send their children to school, and help the community.

The women meet on wednesdays for the tree project; planning and preparation. Land has been leased for them to also plant vegetables.
The widows of Rafiki have been able to put $400 Kenya Shillings in their group account so far with the sale of their trees and fruit producing plants. This will go a long way towards putting their children through school and ending hunger in their village.
The women have also included planting Indigenous trees which seem to be in demand.
Recently the women put 250 seedlings in small polythene papers. They are praying to sell 500 seedlings during this season.
